Aquatic Programs by Location

AQUA TOTS

Developed for children 6 months to 3 years of age, American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more. Once children can perform basic skills without parental assistance, they may begin Learn-to-Swim program.

Every student is different, some are ready at age 2, others may not be ready until age 3 or 4. This is determined by the parent.

How long will it take my child to learn to swim?
Our goal is to make every student a better swimmer, at their own pace and comfort level.
We do not teach "SINK or SWIM" or teach any method that may make a student fearful of the water.
